Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer

  • 1 1/4 oz. light rum
  • 1 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz. grenadine  

Mix the rum, lemon juice, and grenadine.

Add the ice cubes and fill a chilled highball glass with cranberry juice.

Garnish with a lemon wedge.

  • 3 oz. egg nog
  • 1 1/2 oz. rum 
  • 3/4 oz. creme de cacao 
  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream 

Blend ingredients until smooth and pour mixture into a parfait glass.

Top with whipped cream and decorate with a few drops of green creme de menthe.

Optinally garnish with rolled cookie.

  • 1/2 oz. green sour puss
  • 1/2 oz. butter ripple schnapps
  • dash cinnamon

Pour the schnapps and sour puss into a chilled shot glass and top with a dash of cinnamon.

Wassail

Wassail

  • 1 qt. ale
  • 1 qt. brandy or light rum, slightly warmed
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • grated peel of 1 lemon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions:

Heat ale, but do not boil, with nutmeg, ginger, and lemon peel.

Beat eggs with sugar.

Add a little hot ale to the egg mixture to equalize the temperature and keep the eggs from scrambling.

Add egg mixture gradually to the hot ale.

Pour mixture into a large pitcher.

Pour warmed brandy or rum into another large pitcher.

Turn ingredients from one pitcher into the other until mixture is smooth. 

Pour into a white maple wassailing bowl wreathed with holly. 

Makes approximately 20 3-oz. servings.

  • 1 1/2 oz. apricot brandy
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 2 dashes bitters

Shake well in a measured flamenco rhythm - or to the accompaniment of your friends’ hand claps - with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Optionally garnish with a twist of orange peel.  Now, run with the bulls!

  • 2 oz. vanilla-flavored vodka
  • 1/2 oz. white creme de cacao
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • a couple drops of fresh lemon juice

Mix gound gloves and sugar in a saucer.  Mosten the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with cut lemon and spin rim in sugar-spice mixture.  Shake remaining ingredients well with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Optionally garnish with a single frangipani flower or a small orchid.

  • 1 oz. galliano

Shake well with cracked ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass.  Optionally garnish with a lime wedge.

  • 2 oz. gin
  • 1/2 oz. triple sec
  • 1/2 oz. pineapple juice

Stir with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Optionally garnish this Hawaiian cocktail with a pineapple chunk, and a little parasol.

  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 tsp. superfine sugar
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. water

Shake sugar, lemon juice, and water well with cracked ice and strain into a highball glass almost filled with crushed ice.  Add the bourbon.  Stir well and optionally garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of lemon.

  • 1 1/2 oz. hot-pepper falvored vodka
  • 1/2 oz. dry vermouth
  • dash hot sauce

Shake with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Optionally garnish with a jalapeno or habanero pepper.
