Hot Punch Tips
What could be cozier than a steaming mug of a sweet, spicy treat. Just add friends.
A few hot punch how-to's:
1.) Be sure to use heatproof glasses, mugs, and bowls.
2.) Warm mugs or punch cups in hot water before filling.
3.) Acidic ingredients like wine and fruit juices should be heated in nonreactive stainless stell or enamel saucepans. Avoid aluminum saucepans.
4.) An electric warmer or hostess tray is handy for keeping punches hot. Or, serve in a slow cooker.
5.) Serve hot, but not scalding.
